The 2014 Hungry Mouth Festival announces the 2013 Competing Chefs will return in 2014 to be the Celebrity Judges for this much anticipated event!

St. Elizabeth Shelter’s first Hungry Mouth Festival in 2013 was such a huge success that we are coming back this year with an even better celebration of fantastic food, exciting cooking competition and other festivities in the Farmers Market Pavilion on October 18th, 2014!

Once again we’ll be celebrating St. Elizabeth Shelter’s longstanding service – now 28 years – to our community’s homeless men, women and children and our outstanding track record in helping them move back into housing.

Please join us by attending the event and/or donating. All funds raised will be matched by a $50,000 challenge grant to provide and support emergency and supportive housing for women and children at St. Elizabeth’s Casa Familia and Sonrisa programs.

ST ELIZABETH SHELTER

St. Elizabeth Shelter is the only year-round, nonsectarian, full- service homeless shelter in Northern New Mexico. Due to the support of our community and through our five residential facilities and comprehensive programming, we were able to provide 40,000 bed nights of shelter, 52,000 meals, and help over 300 individuals move into housing for a total of service to 2,200 men, women and children in need throughout 2013.

St. Elizabeth Shelter’s Medical Respite Programs, Homeless Legal Clinic and Monthly Homeless Court, in collaboration with the City of Santa Fe, all contribute to the ongoing services we provide to support and restore individual lives.
